Adopt a reptile at The Serpentarium!
Whether you're looking for your first reptile and want to save a little money or are interested in offering your home to a needing reptile, The Serpentarium usually always has a few animals available that could use permanent loving homes. We commonly have Ball Pythons, Red-tailed Boas, Corn Snakes and Water Turtles available with low adoption fees. We also have various Geckos and Lizards from time to time.
Need a new home for your reptile?
The Serpentarium accepts all reptiles in need of a home. If you can no longer keep your pet reptile, for whatever reason, feel free to bring him/her in and we'll provide them with the best of care, ultimately matching them up with a permanent home through our Adoption Program. In some cases, we adopt animals ourselves and they're now a Museum attraction!
* A donation along with the surrender is not required but greatly appreciated.
Reptiles for Adoption
Corn Snakes - The perfect beginner snakes! They don't get very big at all, are very gentle and actually enjoy being handled! An excellent choice for ages 8 and up.
Ball Pythons - Great beginner snakes that don't get very big, are very gentle, slow moving and enjoy being handled! They're a little more shy and calm than Corn Snakes, so if you're looking for something mellow, Ball Pythons are for you! A great choice for ages 10 and up.
Red Tail Boas - If you're looking for something larger than a Ball Python, Red Tails are another great beginner snake! Although females can reach lengths of over 10 feet (males being smaller), they're generally mild tempered and enjoy being handled. A good choice for ages 16 and up.
Water Turtles - If snakes aren't your thing we usually always have a few water turtles available; mostly Red-eared Sliders and Western Pond Turtles. They make a great addition to backyard ponds! A great choice for ages 8 and up.
